ChemOffice WebServer 2000 is the latest incarnation of CambridgeSoft's WWW information technology, first launched in 1995. ChemOffice WebServer is a business-tier application, which connects to industry standard data sources, such as Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle, and serves and searches chemical data. New features for 2000 include user enhancements such as saving queries, marking hits, increased control over result displays, and integration with ChemFinder for Excel. The new ChemACX application, included, contains triple the number of vendors than before, over 500,000 products, and can be integrated with existing purchasing systems, or serve as its own! Other new applications included in WebServer 2000 are a two-tiered Chemical Registration, complete with batch management, automated duplicate checking, and physical data management. Also available are applications for serving Derwent data (such as World Drug Alerts), ISI reaction databases (such as the CCR), and reaction databases from InfoChem GmBH.
It runs on Windows NT Server (with IIs), and serves both Macintosh and Windows clients. With optional ChemDraw Java, ChemOffice WebServer serves the Unix world as well!
Results from WebServer searches can be exported directly into Excel, while retaining all of the chemical information, or they can be exported and loaded into a local ChemFinder DB for management of project data. The new ChemACX application, included, contains triple the vendors, over 500,000 products, and can be integrated with existing purchasing systems, or serve as its own! The ChemACX-SC is also included and adds a robust database of screening compounds to the ChemACX offerings.
